Kingdom Regiment Performed for
MAPLES Neighborhood at National Night Out

The drill team, color guard and drumline formerly known as the Lord's Warriors, has been re-envisioned and reorganized as Kingdom Regiment 2010, bringing together 25-30 young people, ages 11-19, to form a faith-based community marching unit, and aiming to represent the City of Waterloo and the State of Iowa with energy and precision. The group is under the direction of Sister Kay Jordan of Waterloo.

Kingdom Regiment performed for us and for the MAPLES Neighborhood at National Night Out. They also have used St. Paul's as the place for their day-long training sessions led by volunteer adult professional drummers and experienced drill team leaders.

When Kingdom Regiment hosted the Midwest Regional Championship Drill Team Contest, known as “MARCHING AGAINST THE DARKNESS,” Saturday, August 21 at Central Middle School in Waterloo, there were 12 marching groups from 7 different states participating. St. Paul's hosted the Highsteppers from Kansas City overnight.

Also at National Night Out...

Students pictured live at the Cedar Crest Apartments.  Some of them like to come and work in the computer lab under Ms. Tina's supervision.  At Right is one of St. Paul's regular Sunday school students.
